New Home Sales Continue To Increase In 2012

According to CMHC (Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation) there were 786 housing starts in January, up from 518 during the same month last year. Metro Calgary itself experienced the most gains at 36%, with 271 homes in the ground, says CMHC. Construction starts of multi-family units continue to lead the way, averaging more than 340 starts per month since August 2011.
