Established in 1990, Hidden Valley is a community which offers its residents everything from schools, playgrounds and shopping. There are several playing fields where the residents can enjoy sporting events held throughout the year by local community groups and the Hidden Valley Community Association. A shopping plaza is located at the South entrance to the community, with major shopping malls only a short drive away.  Hanson Ranch was merged with the community of Hidden Valley and lies just to the East. Its tranquil setting along the escarpment offers a serene setting with wetlands and walking paths throughout.

Access to and from the community is a breeze, bordered by Beddington and Shaganappi Trail, Country Hills Blvd and Stoney Trail, offering quick access to Deerfoot Trail and the Queen Elizabeth Highway (QE2).
