Established in 1959, the mature and quiet neighbourhood of Charleswood is located in Northwest Calgary, opposite of the University of Calgary across the Crowchile Trail. Homes in Charleswood are blessed with its prime location close to the campus and major shopping destinations such as Market Mall, Northland Village Mall and Brentwood Mall, which is also the site of the Brentwood LRT station. Charleswood Schools

Residents of Charleswood are served by two schools in the immediate area: Senator Patrick Burns and Ecole Banff Trail. Senator Patrick Burns serves students from grade 6 - 9 and is an accredited International Spanish Academy, so students have the option to become bilingual in English and Spanish. They also offer specific coaching and training for hockey and baseball. Ecole Banff Trail, on the other hand, is a French immersion school.
